The Toughest Pill to Swallow

It is not infrequently that I am asked about the most difficult longevity interventions for me to adhere to.
Honestly, a lot of proven longevity interventions are intuitive to me and have relatively easily become habit. I am fortunate that I love to exercise and have loved it since an early age. There is little more I love these days than to get a full 8 hours of good quality consistent sleep with a power nap mixed in here and there. Staying socially active is natural for me. I have been actively exploring my life philosophy and trying to define my purpose since early high school. Staying away from smoking, easily done. Cutting down on alcohol, this one was actually tough for me because of my social life and family culture; but with how much worse I feel with drinking even small quantities these days, very much doable.
But the one I have the most trouble with is reducing the amount of meat in my diet. All the prior interventions I was already doing to a certain extent and had know them to be valid for some time. This is the one that is was full tilt in the opposite direction. For most of my adolescent and early adult life my diet could best be described as carnivore with some garnishes of vegetables and fruit.
Growing up I was always told that meat was always good for me. Now I am delving into a lots of good data that shows that animal products might not be so good for my long term health.
I am not alone in this being difficult. This one is often the hardest for my patients too.
